The only system requirement is Excel 2000, Excel 2002, or Excel 2003 installed on any version of Windows. It is not compatible with Excel 2007.
Free Versions of the Amortization and Appreciation software products are included in the download. The Amortization Software is fully functional up to $75,000 loan amounts with a 10 use limit. The Appreciation Software is fully functional with no limits. To go beyond these limits, please buy Registered Software.
The download file is named “Install_RB_Amort_Free_Trial_V7jf.exe”.
After downloading, double-click the “Install_RB_Amort_Free_Trial_V7jf.exe” file to install the software.
Downloading is fast because several months were spent optimizing the file sizes and code of the individual software products. The result is a download file 1/3 of its original size. This means faster downloading, installation, and more speed each time you use the software. It also uses much less hard drive space.
Many of our competitors do not optimized their software file sizes. They waste your downloading time and fill up your hard drive without a care.
When RealBenefits Software opens, it customizes the Excel interface, but leaves it as close to the standard Excel interface as possible to reduce user learning curve. When you close RealBenefits Software, it restores the Excel interface exactly as it was before running RealBenefits Software, including restoring any user customizations to menus, toolbars, etc. This allows you to also use Excel for spreadsheets and other purposes unrelated to RealBenefits Software.
You do not need to know how to use Excel or any other spreadsheet software to use RealBenefits Software. You do basic Windows computer literacy. The more experience you have with MS Office or MS Excel, the easier it will be for you to get started. However, prior experience is not required.
When installing and using RealBenefits software, you must Enable Macros (aka VBA) if Excel asks you.

After downloading, follow these installation instructions:
1. The
only system requirement is Excel 2000, Excel 2002, or Excel 2003 installed on
any version of Windows. It is not compatible
with Excel 2007.
If you do not have Excel installed, install Excel or MS Office (including Excel) now. When asked if you want to
do a standard or custom installation, you can either do a standard
installation, or choose custom and install all the Excel options (you can add options,
but do not deselect options).
deselect Excel options when
installing MS Office or Excel because the option(s) may be
needed by RealBenefits Software. After the installation is complete, reboot your computer.
2. If you have never run Excel before, then run Excel now. When Excel opens left-mouse-click "Start Using Excel" (or register Excel depending on version), then close Excel, wait 10 seconds, then reopen Excel. If you have run Excel before, you can skip to step 3.
3. Make sure Excel is not currently running (open). If it is, exit (close) Excel, then wait 10 seconds before going to the next step.
4. Double-click the “Install_RB_Amort_Free_Trial_V7jf.exe” file, which you previously downloaded.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions. Make sure you if it asks you.
After completing the installation instructions above, follow the instructions below to begin using the software:
1. Open (i.e. - start) Excel.
2. In the menu in the upper left hand corner of your Excel screen, left-mouse-click "File".
3. Left-mouse-click "New". The templates dialog box will pop up on your screen.
3.5 Excel XP users only: See the "New from template" section at the right hand side of your screen. Left-mouse-click "General Templates".
3.5 Excel 2003 users only: See the "Templates" section at the right hand side of your screen. Left-mouse-click "On my computer".
4. At the top of the templates dialog box, left-mouse-click the "All Types of Real Estate" tab.
5. Left-mouse-click (select) whichever template interests you. For example: “New Amortization Workbook”.
6. Left-mouse-click "OK". Wait for the software to open.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions in the software you just opened.
Repeat the above steps each time you want to use the “Amortization” software.
To use the “Appreciation” software, select “New Appreciation Workbook” in step 5.
